HIV infection continues to take a severe toll on Mozambique, which underscores the need for investments in building research capacity to help combat the epidemic. To address this need, we have established the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt)-Mozambique HIV Research Training Program (Pitt-MozHRTP).
What is Pitt-MozHRTP?
The purpose of the program is to build research capacity in the areas of COVID-19, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes in people with HIV.
This will be accomplished by an expert, multidisciplinary team of research mentors and excellent training opportunities at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, USA, the University of Stellenbosch, Cape Town, South Africa, and Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, Maputo, Mozambique.
